Publication

The Queensland Law Reporter is a publication approved by the Chief Justice under a practice direction pursuant to r 599(2) of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999 and Supreme Court Practice Direction 9 of 2024 for the publication of notices of intention to apply for a grant of probate or letters of administration. The Queensland Law Reporter is also a publication approved for other public notices including notices of missing wills, and occasionally, notices of intention to distribute the assets of a trust estate by Supreme Court Practice Direction No. 1 of 2026 made pursuant to section 135(3)(b) of the Trusts Act 2025.

It is also a publication approved under Supreme Court Practice Direction 7 of 2004 for the publication of notices of intention to apply for admission to the legal profession in satisfying the requirements under r 12 of the Supreme Court (Admission) Rules 2004.

From 1 January 2012, the QLR is published digitally by the ICLRQ and can be accessed free of charge here.

Notices published in the QLR from 1 january 2012 onwards are also accessible through the Public Notice Database, which is updated every Friday after 5:00 pm.
