Public Notices

Click here in order to arrange for notices to be advertised in the “Public Notices” section of the Queensland Law Reporter (QLR).

Four categories of advertising are accepted for publishing in the QLR:

Notices of intended application for a grant of probate or letters of administration

The QLR is a publication approved under r 599(4) of the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules 1999 and Supreme Court Practice Direction 14 of 2017 for giving notice of intent to apply for a grant of probate, grant of letters of administration with the will or grant of letters of administration on intestacy.

Notices of intention to apply for a reseal of grant of probate and notices to creditors also fall under this category.

Notices of intended application for admission to the legal profession

The QLR is a publication approved under rr 12 and 12A of the Supreme Court (Admission) Rules 2004 and Supreme Court Practice Direction 7 of 2004 for giving notice of intention to apply for admission to the legal profession in Queensland.

Notice of missing wills and notices of intended distribution of estates

The QLR also publishes the following legal notices when necessary and appropriate: notice to seek missing wills; notice of intent to distribute the assets of an estate; and other notices to give public information or seek information of a kind which is germane to legal practice.

Other advertisements

The QLR also publishes other advertising which the Secretary of the ICLRQ considers appropriate for publication, as well as advertisements for the sale or purchase of books or other products which are germane to legal practice.
